Using The Big Reveal

The Big Reveal is a private space for planning a gender reveal or a baby shower — a countdown, a gift registry, guessing games, a pregnancy journal, and the reveal itself. By creating an account you agree to these terms.

You must be 16 or older to have an account.

Your account

• Use an email address you actually control — it is how you get back in.
• Keep your password to yourself, if you set one.
• You are responsible for what happens under your account.

Your content stays yours

Photos, messages, journal entries, gift lists — they remain yours. You give us only the permission needed to run the service: to store your content, and to show it to the people in the celebrations you put it in. Nothing is used for advertising, sold, or used to train anyone's model.

Only upload things you have the right to upload. Photographs of other people, particularly children, deserve a moment's thought about whether they would want them shared.

Hosts, guests, and who can do what

Whoever creates a celebration owns it, and that carries real power:

• They decide who is invited, and can remove a member at any time.
• They can promote a guest to co-host, or hand the whole thing over.
• They can delete the celebration, which permanently removes everything in it for everybody — messages, photos, the journal. There is no undo, and nobody else is asked first.
• Only the parent who owns it can set the gender or move the reveal.

Any member can leave a celebration whenever they like. Leaving removes your access; it does not delete what you already posted.

Inviting people

Only add someone's email address if you have a good reason to think they want to hear from you. Invitations and announcement cards are sent in your name, to real inboxes. Do not use the app to send anything unsolicited.

An invite link is a key. Anyone holding it can join that celebration, so treat it accordingly — and a host can revoke or refresh one at any time.

Ask AI is not an expert

The assistant is a general-purpose model. It is often useful and it is sometimes confidently wrong. It knows nothing about your celebration, and it is not a source of medical advice.

The journal is a diary, not a medical record

The pregnancy journal is there to be looked back on fondly. It is not a clinical tool, nothing in it is monitored by anyone, and no part of this app is a substitute for a midwife or a doctor. If something about a pregnancy worries you, please speak to a professional rather than an app.

Fair use

Please do not:

• Harass, threaten or abuse anyone.
• Upload anything unlawful, or anything that is not yours to upload.
• Try to reach celebrations you were not invited to.
• Attack, overload, or attempt to break the service.
• Use it to send bulk unsolicited email.

We may suspend or remove an account that does these things.

What we do not promise

The Big Reveal is provided as it is. We work hard to keep it running and to keep your data safe, but we cannot promise it will never be unavailable, and we cannot promise it will never lose data — so please keep your own copies of photographs that matter to you.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from using the service. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited.

Ending it

You can delete your account in Settings at any time. We may close an account that breaks these terms, and would normally tell you why.

Changes

If these terms change in a way that matters, we will say so in the app.
